About the MCI Application for Repaving and Water Tanks (13 Stuyvesant Town Buildings) |
||||
Background:If you are a Stuy Town Rent Stabilized Tenant, in the list of affected building below, you have already received a notice from the Division of Housing & Community Renewal (DHCR) advising that Tishman Speyer has applied for a Major Capital Improvement (MCI) rent increase to cover the cost of resurfacing of walkways and roadbeds, and for water tanks. (Note: Although the MCI Application for resurfacing and water tanks is common to all 89 buildings only 66 had the additional doors item on their application.) The average cost of this MCI is $10 per room per month. You may recall that we previously asked tenants to request a 60-day extension to Answer/Comment. On December 18th, the Tenants Association distributed a carefully researched and constructed "Answer to Notice" outlining the objections to the MCI Application and asked tenants to attach the answer to a copy of their notice and mail it to DHCR. If you have not already done so and need the instructions and copies of this Answer to Notice kit, please follow this link: <http://stpcvta.org/flyers/st_how_to_answer_resurfacing_no_doors.pdf> Affected Buildings:240 1st Ave. 272 1st Ave. 274 1st Ave. 276 1st Ave. 280 1st Ave. 330 1st Ave. 400 E. 20th St. 520 E. 20th St. 530 E. 20th St. 447 E. 14th St. 645 E. 14th St. 9 Stuy Oval 321 Ave. C |
