New Funding for Asser Levy Rec Center & Stuyvesant Cove Park

Asser Levy Rec Center received $676,000 to reconstruct the fitness room and provide new, modern workout equipment. Council Member Keith Powers’s office is working with the Parks Dept. to upgrade the center’s HVAC system as quickly as possible. For Stuyvesant Cove Park, CM Powers’s office has allocated $2 million for capital upgrades in the park and provided Solar One $449,000 in expense funds so they can maintain the park and expand their innovative educational programming.
