TA Annual Meeting: Thursday, May 29, at 6:30 p.m.

The Tenants Association is holding a virtual open meeting on Thursday, May 29, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube, and you may submit questions by Sunday, May 25, for the TA or our guests.

At the meeting we will announce the results of the election for the board of directors, and we will also present an annual report.

After that, we will be joined by the following elected representatives to address issues of tenant concern:

NYC Council Member Keith Powers

• SPARC (Science Park and Research Center, 25th St. and First Ave.) and Innovation East Update, including traffic mitigation studies
• Recent relevant City Council legislation

Congressman Jerrold Nadler

• Washington DC update, including NYC congestion pricing

NYS Senator Kristen Gonzalez

• Mount Sinai Beth Israel update
• Housing in the recent state budget

NYS Assembly Member Harvey Epstein

• SCRIE/DRIE: senior citizen or disability rent increase exemption
• Closing illegal cannabis shops
• E-bike legislation

Please submit your questions for the meeting by Sunday, May 25. We will do our best to answer all the questions, but if your question is personal, we will respond directly. You may also submit a question in writing by placing it in one of our drop boxes (Community Center or Ibiza Kidz).
